My dream, my words!

Aims and ambitions they say,

One or the other we knit up

Basis of what the others’ say

And those we fantasize with

In the end it is the same

Service to mankind either way

To sustain self and the others

To be frank for a remuneration

Few of the many do chose

Their dreams or their passion

While many of the few

Enmesh in the daily chore.

What I do was never I dreamt of,

But in the nature’s lap,

Within a classroom of possibilities

I saw my writings read and pondered upon.

Life far away!

This is your moment,

Go and fetch it

A strong voice within

Emerged out of nowhere!

Like a mirage

On the thirst street

Did it disappear

As if never there.

Far away it seemed

That place would be better

Ran to it to find again

The dismayed desolation.

What is that lacking,

Or the gravest sin we did?

The stillness at every turn,

Tolerance we never denied?

Life is just far away!
